Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
Hinduism One (“we”, “us”) runs the-hinduism.com and hinduism.one (the “Site”). We care about your privacy and keep this simple: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
When you just read the Site: we don’t ask for any personal information. We have no user accounts or logins. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages securely and protect against abuse. We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) that count visits without tracking you across other sites or building a profile of you.
When you subscribe to the newsletter or WhatsApp channel: we collect your email address (newsletter) or, on WhatsApp, whatever WhatsApp shares with channel admins. WhatsApp Channels do not show followers’ phone numbers to admins. We use your email only to send what you signed up for. Our email provider (such as Beehiiv or Kit) stores it for us and may record whether emails are opened, so we can improve them.
When you email us: we receive your email address and message, and use them only to reply.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We don’t run third-party advertising trackers.
- Our share buttons are plain links. Nothing from WhatsApp, Pinterest or other platforms loads on our pages until you choose to tap a button, at which point that platform’s own privacy policy applies.
Children
Our content is written for families to enjoy together, and stories and answers are meant to be read with children. Our newsletter and contact form are intended for adults (parents, grandparents, teachers). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies
The Site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store small technical items (for example, to remember a setting). If we ever add cookies that require consent, we will ask first.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it. Depending on where you live (for example under Canada’s PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR or California law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to how it’s used. To make a request, email hello@the-hinduism.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Where data is stored
Our service providers may store and process data in Canada, the United States or other countries, under their own security and privacy commitments.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the Site or in the newsletter.
